حكومت

ḥukūmat (for A. حكومة , inf. n. of حكم 'to restrain,' etc.), s.f. Judicial authority; jurisdiction authority, power, sway, dominion, rule, sovereignty, government:—ḥukūmat jatānā, To make a display of authority:—ḥukūmat-ě-shaḵẖṣī, s.f. Dominion or sway of an individual; monarchy; despotic government:—ḥukūmat karnā(-par), To exercise authority (over); to rule, govern:—ḥukūmat-jamhūrī, s.f. A republic, democracy (=riyāsat-jamhūrī).
