छज्जा ćhajjā(see ćhājnā), s.m. The expanded branches of a tree (which afford shade); a covered way; eaves (of a house); a pent (over a door-way), a portico; a veranda; a balcony; a gallery:—ćhajje-dār, adj. Having a pent, or a portico, etc.; broad-brimmed (a turban, or hat).
