چوڑ

चूड़ ćūṛ [S. चूडः and चूडा, चूला], s.m. The ceremony of tonsure; a top-knot; a crest; a diadem; a ring, an amulet; the bracelet put on a bride at her marriage; the gold or silver ornament worn by Hindū widows; a ring put on the end of an elephant's tusk (cf. ćūṛā, ćūṛī).
