चूड़ा ćūṛā [S. ćūḍā], s.f. The ceremony of tonsure; a single lock or tuft of hair left on the crown of the head after the ceremony of tonsure; a top-knot; crest (of a bird, etc.); plume; diadem; head, top, summit:—ćūṛā-karṇ, s.m. Shaving the head all but one lock, tonsure:—ćūṛā-maṇi, s.m. An ornament or jewel worn on the top of the head; a jewel worn in a crest or diadem.
