چتا

िचता ćitā, s.f. A pile of wood (on which the Hindūs burn their dead), a funeral pile, pyre:—ćitārohan (ćitā+āro˚), s.m. Ascending the funeral pile, the burning (of a widow) with the corpse of her husband:—ćitā-pind, s.m. An offering of cakes, rice, milk, etc. to the manes at the time of burning a corpse:—ćitā-ćūṛak, s.m. A mark where a funeral pile has been, a monument, a mausoleum.
