पत pat, पित pati[S. पऽं; Prk. पƣं], s.m. A leaf (used chiefly as first member of comp.):—pat-jhāṛ, pat-jhaṛ, adj. & s.f. With the leaves dropped off, leafless;—fall of the leaf, autumn;—pat-jhaṛhonā, v.n. To lose its leaves in autumn (a tree); (met.) to decay (said of an aged person):—pat-jhaṛī, s.f.
