िपƣा pittā[S. िपƣ+कः], s.m. Bile; the gallbladder (met.) choler, anger, passion, met tal emotion; force of character or will:—pittāmārnā, v.t. To control or subdue anger, etc., to restrain one's passions :—pittā-mārū, adj. & s.m. Restraining anger, etc.; attentive; painstaking;—one who subdues wrath, etc.:—pittāmarnā, v.n. Anger to be restrained, or to subside, etc.:—pittānikālnā(kā), To annoy, harass, worry; to chastise severely, beat to a jelly.
