مہوت

मुहतर् ू muhūrt, and H. महतर् ू mahūrt, महरत ू mahūrat, and महतर् ु mahurt, महरत ुmahurat, s.m. A particular division of time (=12 kshaṇ, or 2 ghaṛī); the thirtieth part of a day, a period of 48 minutes;—any short space of time, a moment, an instant;—an auspicious moment;—an astrologer, or astronomer:—mahūrat bićārnā, or mahūrat dekhnā, To ascertain the auspicious moment (for any work):—mahūrat karnā, To begin (a work) in an auspicious moment.
