موبد

mobid, mobad, or mūbid, mūbad[Pārsīmobad; Pehl. mānpat; Zend nmānopaiti (nmāna+paiti), rt. manwith ni= S. िन+मन् ], s.m. A worshipper of the sun, one of the Magi, or Pārsīs, or Guebres; a priest of the Guebres;—a doctor, philosopher, any man of great wisdom whose sayings are quoted;—a vizier, a counsellor of state.
