muḥiqq, vulg. muḥiq (act. part. of احقّ 'to speak truth; to show a truth, or a right or due,' etc., iv of حقّ 'to be true, or just, or right,' etc.), part. adj. & s.m. Saying what is true and right; acting properly, doing justice; knowing for certain; showing (or having) a right or claim (to);—confirming, establishing;—one who speaks the truth, etc.
