muḥāsib (act. part. of حاسب 'to reckon with; to call (one) to account (for)'; iii of حسب 'to number, reckon,' etc.), s.m. A keeper, or a settler, of accounts; a calculator; an arithmetician; an accountant; an examiner or auditor of accounts.
