shakk, vulg. shak (inf. n. of شكّ 'to be dubious,' etc.), s.m. (f.?), Doubt, suspense, uncertainty, hesitation, vacillation; incredulity, scepticism:—shak panā(-ko), To entertain a doubt, to feel doubtful:—shak ālnā(-me), To cast a doubt (upon); to call in question:—shak raf` karnā(-kā), To remove or dispel the doubts (of):—shak karnā(-kā), To doubt; to be suspicious (of):—shak miānāor shak nikālnā= shak raf` karnā:—be-shak, adv. Without doubt, doubtless, assuredly, certainly:—kyā śhak hai, 'What doubt is there?' no doubt, doubtless.
