du`ā(inf. n. of دعو 'to pray,' etc.), s.f. Prayer, supplication (to God); an invocation of good, a blessing, benediction; wish; congratulation, salutation; imprecation of evil, curse, maiediction (=bad-du`ā);—a verse, or verses, of the Qor`ān;—an incantation (pl. ad`iyat, or vulg. ad`iya):—du`ā-ě-ḵẖair, s.f.
