िोण droṇa, vulg. droṇ, s.m. A wooden tub, a trough; a certainmeasure of capacity (=one āḍhak, and also=four āḍhaks);—the sixteenth part of a kharī, or forty-eight gallons;—a weight of thirty-six seers (about sixty-four pounds avoirdupois);—a raven, a carrion-crow:—droṇa-kāk, s.m. (f. -ī), A raven:—droṇ-mukh, s.m. The capital of a district, the chief of 400 villages (=droṇī-mukh).
