dirham, dirhim (the P. diramarabicized), s.m. A silver coin (of which from twenty to twenty-five have at different times passed current for a dīnar, which latter is nearly equal to a ducat, or sequin, about nine shillings; so that a diramis worth about five-pence);—money, cash, coin;—a measure of weight, the weight of a diram, a drachm.
