bād[Pehl. vāt; Zend, vāta; S. vāta], s.f. Wind, air, breeze:—bād-bān, s.m. Sail (of a boat, etc.); a vessel in which a lamp is placed for protection from the wind:—bād-pā, adj. & s.m.
