हाव hāv, vulg. hā`o (rt. hve), s.m. Calling; call, cry;—(prob. fr. bhāva), any feminine or coquettish act or gesture, tending to excite amorous sensations; coquetry, blandishment, the airs and arts of lovers:—hāv-bhāv, or hā`obhā`o, s.m. Actions and postures expressive of sentiment or amorous passion;—blandishments, airs, etc. (i.q. hāv); charm, attraction; gesticulation:—hā`o-hā`o, s.f. Call, cry; cries;—demand, want (e.g. ḵẖarć-kīhā`o-hā`o rahtīhai).
