گہٹانا

घटाना ghaṭānā[caus. of ghaṭnā;—ghaṭā˚= ghaṭāw˚= Prk. घट्टावे˚=S. घट्ट+आिप, caus. aug.], v.t. To lessen, decrease, diminish; to subtract or deduct (from, -se); to abate, reduce; to allay, alleviate;—to retard; to impair; to lower, degrade:—ghaṭā-denā, v.t. intens. of and=ghaṭānā.
