گھاٹا

घाटा ghāṭā[S. घट्ट+ कः], s.m. Acclivity; declivity; ascent; descent; a defile, a pass (in hills,—see ghāṭī);—deficiency; abatement, reduction; loss, etc. (see ghāṭ);—a dish made of pounded and sifted barley, or of pulse, or gram; gram or pulse stir-about:—ghāṭāuṭhānā(-kā), To suffer a loss:—ghāṭābharnā(-kā), To make good a deficiency or loss:—ghāṭāpaṛnā, or ghāṭā ānā, or ghāṭāhonā(-ko), A loss to befall; to incur or suffer a loss; to lose.
