घाई ghā`ī[prob. S. मस, or मह+इका; cf. gāṅsā, and gāhī], s.f. The angle or enclosed space at the junction of two fingers or toes (syn. gāṅsā); the angle formed bya branch with the trunk of a tree, or the space at the root of the branch;—the hob of an oven (on which the bread is left to swell after being baked);—an aggregate of five (=gāhī); the number five (in reckoning).
