गोड़ैत goṛait[or gorait; prob. S. घोर(rt. घुर् )+ait= Prk. आइƣो=आवेंतो=S. आपयन् ;—cf. gohrānāor gohārna], s.m. A village watchman (the watchman being in the habit of bawling aloudat night); an intelligencer.
