गदला gadlā[S. कटर्+आल+कः?], adj. (f. -ī), Turbid, muddy, foul, dull, dirty (water, or other liquid):—gadlākarnā, v.t. To make muddy or turbid, etc.; to stir up the sediment or dirt (in a pond, or a vessel, etc.);—to stir up the mud and mix it with the water in a rice-field preparatory to sowing the rice.
