डपोल ḍapol[Prk. डप्पउल्लोor दप्पउल्लो; S. डप् or डम्प(prob. for दृप् )+ उलः], adj. Big, large, huge, monstrous, etc.:—ḍapol-sankh, adj. & s.m. lit. A huge conch-shell; making a great noise but effecting nothing, promising much and performing nothing;—one who talks loud but does nothing, etc.
