ڈمرو

डमरु ḍamaru, vulg. ḍamru, and H. डमरू ḍamrū(Prk. डमरुको; S. डमरुकः), s.m. A tabor or small drum shaped like an hour-glass (held in one hand and beaten with the fingers: it is one of the ten attributes of Śiva); anything shaped like an hour-glass; the knee-joint (?):—ḍamru-madhya, or ḍamrū-madh, s.m. (Geog.) An isthmus.
