छीनना ćhīnnā[ćhīn˚= Prk. िछन्न(इ) or िछन्ने(इ), fr. S. िछन्न p.p.p. of rt. िछद्], v.t. To pull, snatch, pluck, tear, wrench, wrest, rob, take by force; to seize, usurp:—ćhīn-lenā, v.t. (intens.), To snatch up; to tear or snatch away; to seize, usurp, take forcible possession of, to deprive (of, -se), to bereave (of), etc.
