चढ़ा ćaṛhā(perf. part. of ćaṛhnā), adj. (f. -ī), Risen, high (as prices, a tone, etc.); braced; swollen (as a river), etc.; in practice, in working order; in hand (as a job, etc.):—ćaṛhā-baṛhā, s.m. A wealthy or great person:—ćaṛhā-hu`ā, adj. (f. -ī) = ćaṛhā:—ćaṛhā-hu`āhonā, v.n. To be risen, etc.; to be in practice, to be in good working condition (as the hand, eye, etc.); to be in hand (as a work), to be in course of preparation; to be possessed (by an evil spirit; e.g. uske sir jin ćaṛhā-hu`āhai).
