चौलाई ćaulā`ī, s.f. A species of potherb, Amaranthus polygamus (there are two kinds, one red, called lāl sāgor lāl ćaulā`ī; the other green, called alsomarsā, gindhārī, ganderor harī ćaulā`ī);—wild rice.
