चखना ćakhnā[ćakh˚= S. चष(ित), rt. चष् ], v.t. To taste, to eat; to relish, enjoy; to experience, suffer:—ćakh-jānā(-ko), To eat up the whole (of a thing):—ćakh-ḍālnā, v.t. To taste or partake of with relish or gusto; to enjoy thoroughly or to the full, to take (one's) fill of, to drain to the dregs.
