चुकना ćuknā[ćuk˚= Prk. चुक्क(इ), fr. S. च्युत् +कृ; cf. ćūknā], v.n. To be finished, etc. (see ćuk-jānā, the com. form);—ćuk-jānā, v.n. To be finished, be completed; to be exhausted (as a supply or store), to come to an end, to cease (=ho-ćuknā); to be settled, be fixed, be agreed upon (as a price, etc.); to be settled, be adjusted, be adjudicated (as a difference or dispute, or a law-suit);—tofall short (of), to fail (see ćūknā):—ćukne-wālā, adj. (f. -ī) & s m. Falling short (of), failing;—one who fails (to do anything).
