चाह ćāh[S. इच्छा, rt. इष् ; or rt. of ćāhnā, q.v.], s.f. Wish, desire, inclination; volition, will; longing, craving; love, affection, liking, fondness; fancy; choice;—appetite, relish, zest, gusto;—want, need, requirement; requisition, demand, request:—ćāh-ćit, s.f.=ćāh-o-ćoz, q.v.:—ćāh-se, adv. With pleasure; with appetite or relish; eagerly; affectionately, lovingly; of one's own accord, voluntarily:—ćāh-o-ćoz, s.f.=ćā`o-ćoz, q.v.s.v. ćā`o:—ćāh honā(-kī), To have a desire, etc. (for); to be in request or demand.
