चांप ćāṅp[S. चापं ], s.f. A bow; the lock of a gun; the stocks; the rack:—ćāṅp ćaṛhānā(-kī), To bend a bow; to cock a gun;—to punish or torture by squeezing the ear under the lock of a gun; to put in the stocks.
