ćādar, s.f. A sheet; a table-cloth; a covering; a coverlet; a calico mantle or wrapper (of one fold, which reaches from the head to the ankles);—a sheet (of iron, etc.); a cascade; a kind of fire-work (in imitation of a cascade);—shot and shell:—ćādar utārnā(-kī), To take off the covering or mantle (of a woman), to disgrace or insult (a woman):—ćādar bićhānā(-par), To lay the cloth (on a table); to spread or put down a sheet:—ćādar-joṛā, A pair of shawls:—ćādar ćaṛhānā, To present a ćādar or sheet as an offering (to be spread over the tomb of a saint);—ćādar-ćhat, s.f.
