पैंतरा paiṅtarā, paiṅtrā[S. पाद+अन्तर+कः], s.m. Flourishing about before cudgelling, etc.; the preparatory attitudes or movements of a wrestler (also written paitarā):—paiṅtare badalnā, v.n. To go through the usual attitudes and flourishes before closing (with an antagonist).
