پٹكا

पटका paṭkā[S. पट, or पट्ट+कः], s.m. A cloth worn round the waist, girdle, sash, belt; a layer of mortar in a brick wall:—paṭkābāṅdhnā(-par), To gird up the loins (for), to prepare (for), or determine (on, an act, enterprise, etc.):—paṭkāpakaṛnā(-kā), 'To seize the belt (of); to hinder, hold back, prevent, obstruct.
