پنڈا

पण्डा panḍā[S. पण्डor पाण्ड+कः], s.m. A minister or priest (a Brāhman) who presides at the temple of an idol (the office is hereditary; and in some places, as at Benares, the Panḍāofficiates only on special occasions, the duties of the daily worship being performed by subordinate priests or pujārīsin his employ).
