पलाश palāś, s.m. A leaf; foliage; the tree Butea frondosa (on which the lac insect feeds; syn. ḍhāk);—a species of curcuma, Curcuma zedoaria, or C. reclinata;—a name of ancient Bihār or Magadha:—palāśākhya (˚sa+ākh˚), s.m.
