پاپڑا

पापड़ा pāpṛā[S. पपर् ट+कः], s.m. The plant Gardenia latifolia; the plantain, Musa paradisiaca;—the fruit of the ḍhāktree (also written pappaṛ, papaṛ,papuṛā):—pāpṛā-khār, and pāpaṛ-khār (S. parpaṭa+kshāra), s.m. Ashes of the plantain tree used instead of salt for seasoning the cakes called pāpaṛ.
