िटटीहरा ṭiṭīhrā, टटीहरा ṭaṭīhrā, s.m. = H ٹٹیہري िटटीहरी ṭiṭīhrī, टटीहरीṭaṭīhrī, s.f.[S. िटिट्टभ+र+कःand इका], The sand-piper, Tringa goensis; the pewit or lapwing, Tringa vanellus;—a kind of rattle (a child's toy):—kahīṅ ṭaṭīhrī-se āsmān thaṅbegāor thāmā-jā`egā, 'Will the sky ever be supported by the sand-piper?' (said of a person who undertakes an enterprise far above his strength: the sandpiper is fabled to sleep with its legs upwards, as if to prop the firmament).
