टांकी ṭāṅkī[Prk.टिक्कआ; S. टङ्क+इका], s.f. A stone-cutter's chisel, a chisel; a tooth (as of a saw), a notch, jag; a dent, hollow, small hole, pit; a small piece cut or scooped out (as of a melon, etc. to examine the quality); a venereal chancre or shanker:—ṭāṅkībajnā(-kī), 'Builder's chisel to sound or to be busy,' a building or structure to bein course of erection.
