هیرا

हीरा hīrā[S. हीरकः], s.m. Diamond; adamant;—a bead made of the tulsī(worn by Bairāgīs);—adj. A diamond (of a man, etc.), very worthy, or good, or virtuous (e.g. wah to hīrā ādmīhai):—hīrā-kaṭ, adj. Diamond-cut:—hīrā-kasīs, s.m. Copperas, green copperas; martial vitriol; sulphate of iron:—hīrākhānā, To swallow a diamond (and so commit suicide).
