nahār (v.n. fr. نہر 'to flow,' etc.), s.m. Day (from sunrise to sunset);—diffusion of light:—lail-o-nahār, Night and day. H P نہار नहार nahār, (dialec.) िनहार nihār[for nāhār= S. अन+आहार], s.m. Not taking food, fasting;—(in P., for nahārī), a light morning meal, breakfast:—nahār-muṅh, adj. & adv. Without eating, fasting;—on an empty stomach;—s.m. Faster, one who abstains from food.
