िनजर् ल nir-jal, adj. (f. -ā), Without water, waterless, dry, desert;—not mixed with water (as milk, etc.);—s.m. A desert, waste;—a fast in which water even is not to be drunk:—nirjalaikādaśī(˚la+ek), s.f. Name of the eleventh day in the light half of the month Jeṭh (May-June), on which even the drinking of water is forbidden; the fast of that day:—nir-jal karnā, To go without food and water, to keep a rigid fast.
