नाटक nāṭak, s.m. (f. -ikā, or -ī), A dancer; an actor; a mime;—dancing; acting;—a play, drama, comedy; the first of the ten species of Sanskrit dramatic compositions of the first order;—the business of a naṭ(q.v.):—nāṭak-śālā, vulg. nāṭak-sālā, or nāṭak-sāl, s.f. A dancing-room, ball-room; a play-house, theatre (syn. nāć-ghar):—nāṭak-sāl (prob. for nāṭaksālī), s.m. & f. (Dakh.) A dancer, etc. (i.q. nāṭak).
