mǒhtamim (for mǒhtammuṉ, act. part. of اِهْتمّ 'to be anxious (about),' etc.), viii of ه مّ 'to keep (one) in an anxious state of mind,' etc.), part. adj. & s.m. Anxious, or concerned (about); taking upon oneself the concerns of others;—a commissioner, an agent, a manager, trustee, superintendent, inspector, overseer:—mǒhtamim-ě-aḵẖbār, s.m. Editor of a newspaper:—mǒhtamim-ě-band-o-bast, s.m. A settlement officer:—mǒhtamim-ě-mat̤ba, s.m. Manager of a printing press.
