مسح

masḥ(inf. n. of مسح 'to wipe,' etc.), s.m. Wiping; drawing the hand over the surface (of anything, in order to wipe it); handling, stroking, rubbing; washing, cleaning; anointing; the wiping (the neck, etc.) which forms part of the purificatory rites observed by Muslims before engaging in prayer;—perambulation; travelling.
