مزمہ

muzamma (prob. corr. of A. مزممة muzammimat, fem. part. act. of زمّم , ii of (and syn. with) ز مّ 'to tie, bind, fasten'), s.m. A heelrope:—muzamma lenā(-kā), To lay hold of the heel-rope (of);—(fig.) to lay hold (of), to pull up, to come down upon; to pay off, to castigate; to vituperate, to show no mercy to, to lash unsparingly (syn. āṛe-hāth lenā).
