Half-dead, having no life (in him, or it, etc.), more dead than alive, moribund;—lean, emaciated, much reduced (by sickness, etc.); weak, feeble;—lethargic, indolent, lazy, slow, inactive;—a half-deadand-alive person; a lean or emaciated person, etc.
