मरा marā[perf. part. of marnā, q.v.;—and=Prk. मिलदओ, or मिलअओ; S. मर् (मृ )+इत+कः], part. (f. -ī), Dead; dried up, withered; half-dead-and-alive; poor, wretched, miserable, etc.;—s.m. A corpse; carcass; a halfdead-and-alive person, a miserable creature;—base metal:—marāmarā ćalnāor jānā, v.n. To move or go along at a half-dead-and-alive pace, to creep along:—marā-hu`ā, adj. (f. -ī) = marā:—marījūṅ, lit.'A dead louse'; a miserably distressed, or wretchedly poor person;—a very slow person.
