mudbir (act. part. of ادبر 'to turn back,' etc., iv of دبر 'to follow behind'), part. adj. & s.m. Going or turning back, retiring; retrograding; bashful, modest;—one who turns his back (on); one who retires or retreats;—one whose affairs are in a bad train, or who is retrograding in the world.
