maḥalla, (corrupt) muḥalla (for A. محلة maḥallat, fr. maḥall, q.v.), s.m. A district, division, quarter (of a city or town), ward, parish;—a camp;—a review or muster (of troops):—maḥalla-dār, vulg. maḥalle-dār, s.m.
